I admit my limited past knowledge in numerous topics I want to explore when I begin PHI 413. Throughout my nursing profession, I have gained a thorough awareness of the essential concepts for incorporating spirituality and ethics into healthcare. Nonetheless, I accept my inadequate grasp and look forward to growing my knowledge in these areas. This review looks at various topics I am familiar with and identifies areas needing more exploration.

I am unfamiliar with some concepts mentioned in PHI 413, and my objective is to have a thorough grasp of them and apply them successfully before the conclusion of the course. I am interested in examining Cota and de la Torre’s (2024) Christian viewpoint on human beings’ intrinsic value and dignity. I am likewise curious about the significance of human dignity in ethical decision-making and the effect of secularism on healthcare ethics, as discussed by Jaeger (2022). I am excited to gather knowledge to develop decision-making frameworks that are both efficient and ethically sound. This knowledge will be helpful to me when I take on the role of nurse leader in the future.

These real-world examples are critical in connecting the theoretical ideas covered in the course to their practical application in the healthcare industry.
