Instructions

  • Create your poster using the Professional Poster Template located in the Project & Practicum Forms section of the DNP Resources page. Scroll down to select the right poster for this assignment titled: NR 707_DNP Professional Poster Template 6.24.22.
  • Insert your content into the text boxes for each section; make sure to remove the instructions on the template. The content should be well-developed, concisely conveyed, and supported by the evidence. Leave space between each section without words, so that there is a space break between sections.
  • Set up your poster using the following format and guidelines.

Include the following in your poster:

  1. Practice Problem
    1. Offer strong evidence-based statements for the significance data, including prevalence, and/or incidence, and/or mortality data at the national and state (or county or city) levels. If available, include data from the practicum site to support this is a priority problem for the organization.
    2. Include the project aim (main purpose or objective) at the end of this section.
    3. Include in-text citations.
    4. Use bullet points for practice problem data points. Bullet points are not required for project aim.
    5. Use concise and accurate statements.
  2. Practice Question
    1. The practice question must be the exact approved PICOT practice question as identified in the Chamberlain University IRB approval letter.
    2. Remove the name or identifiers of the practicum site from the practice question and other sections of the poster.
  3. Methodology (Part 1 and Part 2 in the Rubric)
    1. In this section, students who are implementing at the practicum site are required to state the information in short concise phrases with bullet points. Use the exact subheaders listed on the NR 707 poster template.
    2. State the translational science model or theory/change model.
    3. Provide a short description of the setting.
    4. Provide a short description of the population with the estimated number of participants.
    5. Briefly state the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
    6. Briefly describe the intervention (cite primary source)
    7. Briefly describe the formative evaluation plan.
    8. Briefly describe the summative evaluation plan.
    9. State the main outcome of the PICOT practice question.
    10. Briefly describe the data collection (e.g., pre-intervention and post-intervention data collection).
    11. State the name of the data collection instrument (cite source) OR data source (e.g., data extraction from chart or EHR, or data from the quality department, etc.).
    12. State the data analysis plan (descriptive statistics or statistical test if consulting with a statistician).
    13. State the exact timeframe for the total project implementation and the intervention implementation.

  6. Implications for Nursing and Healthcare
    1. Briefly state your anticipated implications for changing patient, nursing practice, and organizational outcomes. The anticipated outcomes should be based on the research supporting your intervention. Implications should be explained for each system level below:
      1. Micro (patient or individual nurse outcomes)
      2. Meso (unit or department collective nursing practice)
      3. Macro (facility or healthcare system[s])
    2. Use a bullet point for each implication.
    3. Do not include the terms Micro, Meso, Macro in the bullet points (cover the concepts)
  7. References: Use of Scientific Evidence
    1. Every reference is required to be associated with an in-text citation.
    2. The poster includes at least three (3) references; research articles (primary research or systematic reviews) or data from a government or nationally-recognized healthcare organization related to the DNP project in citations and references. Avoid secondary or summary sources.
    3. References must be published in the past 5 years.
