NRS 455 Summary of Current Course Content Knowledge
NRS 455 Summary of Current Course Content Knowledge
As the NRS 455 course begins, I acknowledge that my prior knowledge nearly matches all the weekly learning objectives, specifically of cardiac and respiratory functions. My nursing background has given me a wide-ranging overview of the pathophysiological processes standard in cardiovascular diseases. This will enable me to make valued contributions to discussions and bring a critical thinking approach to case studies, such as those presented in the course material by Smith et al. (2023). This foundation will also complement my study experience in the course.
On the other hand, my existing knowledge of introducing palliative care to chronic disease management, specifically in cardiovascular and respiratory challenges, is inadequate. I wish to learn more about the part of critical care nurses in symptom management and how palliative care should be integrated into treatment protocols. Further study of these topics will enhance my skills and allow me to contribute to the class discourse and group learning experiences (Vuckovic et al., 2020). I expect to explore these topics more thoroughly and gain knowledge by collaborating with my peers and professor.
I am especially keen on investigating the psychological and emotive aspects of patient care within chronic conditions. It is also critical to understand the impact of these factors on patient care outcomes and the nursing process to provide complete care. I want to discuss approaches for meeting the needs of my peers and the instructor, especially as they relate to the consequences of readmission for patients and the health system (Scarboro & McQuillan, 2021). I have questions about the requirements for the upcoming case studies and the best way to record my indirect care experiences as described in the syllabus.
